The need for baby nutrition for homeless or less fortunate families is ongoing. In the past a baby formula shortage affected availability for much of the world. By having a larger inventory of these types of products, the prospect of not having them is much less of a concern. The donation made by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints included 1000 bottles of PediaSure, 1080 bottles of Gerber stage two baby food, and 180 boxes of Gerber baby cereal. This donation represents an ongoing partnership between the Church and the Salvation Army in this area.
