Effective August 1, 2025, the Asia North Area Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has been reorganized. Elder J. Kimo Esplin will serve as President of the Asia North Area, with Elder Christopher H. Kim as First Counselor and Elder Michael John U. Teh as Second Counselor.
Elder J. Kimo Esplin served as Second Counselor in the Asia North Area Presidency from August 2023, and then as First Counselor from August 2024.
Elder Christopher H. Kim has been serving as Second Counselor in the Asia North Area Presidency since August 2024.
Elder Michael John U. Teh has been serving as Second Counselor in the Asia Area Presidency since August 2023.

He served as Second Counselor in the Asia North Area Presidency from October 2020 and as First Counselor from August 2023. He has been serving as President since August 2024.
The Asia North Area includes Japan, Mongolia, Korea, Micronesia and Guam. Under the direction of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, members of the Area Presidency have the responsibility to oversee the affairs of the Church and to strengthen, train and uplift Church members, leaders and missionaries throughout the region.
