"Decorate my Christmas Tree!" Asia North Area Prepares to Light the World with a New Christmas Poster 

As the air turns crisp and the holiday season draws near, anticipation for Christmas fills the atmosphere. With just a few weeks to go, now is the perfect time for individuals, families, wards, and stakes to start planning how they will Light the World through small acts of kindness. This year, members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Asia North Area are invited to let their light shine through service and compassion, reaching out to neighbors, friends, and communities.

To help inspire and guide these efforts, the Light the World Christmas Poster will be distributed through local congregations by the end of November. Featuring the slogan “Decorate My Christmas Tree!”, this beautifully illustrated poster depicts a large Christmas tree that families and individuals can decorate throughout December. The interactive poster comes with stickers that each represent a simple act of kindness, encouraging members to connect their everyday actions with the spirit of the season. Each sticker added to the tree symbolizes a Christlike act, from lending a helping hand to offering a kind word. 

The Light the World Christmas Poster is designed to be displayed prominently in homes, serving as a daily reminder to reflect on Christ’s example and consider ways to bring light to others. As members add stickers, they are invited to plan, carry out, and reflect on how they can brighten the world through small acts of service. The poster’s design allows for creative, flexible use—families and individuals can adapt it to their unique schedules, goals, and personal circumstances. It also makes a wonderful gift for friends and loved ones, inviting them to join in spreading kindness.

Alongside the poster, stickers prompt specific acts of service like calling a friend, saying hello, praying for someone, donating to a charity, or preparing a meal to share. This resource invites members to keep the spirit of Christmas alive daily as they celebrate and serve.  

To spread the message further, members are encouraged to share photos of how they’re using the Light the World Christmas Poster on social media with the hashtag #LightTheWorld. By sharing their creative ideas and service efforts, members can inspire others and join a global celebration of kindness and light.
