October 12th and 13th Designated as General Conference Weekend for Asia North Area

The weekend following General Conference has been set aside as General Conference Weekend for Latter-day Saints residing in the Asia North Area. The designated dates for viewing conference are October 12th and 13th.  

Church members and friends are encouraged to gather in their respective communities and view General Conference in local languages and with subtitles. 

Participating in General Conference on the weekend following the live broadcast from Salt Lake City, Utah on October 5th and 6th will allow viewers to enjoy General Conference in its entirety on the following weekend at times more convenient to Pacific Rim time zones. 

(Members and friends wanting to view General Conference in real time can access the live feed through the Church’s website, churchofjesuschrist.org and through other on-demand media sources).  

The Asia North Area presidency encourages individuals and families to take this opportunity to hear the words of Christ and to receive inspired instruction from His representatives.  

The witness of the Savior from our apostles and prophets is the foundation upon which the Church is established, and by listening to and pondering their messages we learn more fully the Lord’s will concerning our own lives. 

Local Church leaders have been asked that no other meetings be held Sunday, October 13th, including council and presidency meetings. No activities should be planned that will interfere with Church members watching conference sessions at home or at local Church buildings that weekend.  

The Area Presidency promises us that as we align ourselves with Jesus Christ by listening to, studying and following the teachings of His leaders, we will be blessed with greater faith in the Savior and be given greater power to keep our covenants that bind us to Him and to our Heavenly Father.
