After the recent request of station manager and Government leaders, Kosrae radio V6AJ received a generous donation from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The request was for the donation of four laptop computers to improve daily functions of the staff and sponsors.
The Church is very grateful to help improve communications on the island of Kosrae, with the radio station being the only means on the island to broadcast emergency information when needed. The internet is very weak and only available on one side of the Island.
With the tropical weather always a threat, and other urgent needs for fast communication, perhaps even a pandemic, the need for Radio Kosrae is very apparent. The Church is happy to be a part of this effort.
