The Church History Museum tells the story of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints through educational exhibits and programs. Located in downtown Salt Lake City just west of Temple Square, the museum is free and open to the public. The museum collects and displays Latter-day Saint art and artifacts from around the world in a way that offers an educational experience for the whole family.
The museum maintains both permanent galleries and changing, temporary exhibits on special themes. Many of the exhibit pieces can also be viewed online.
The Church History Museum is located at 45 North West Temple Street, Salt Lake City, Utah, and is open to the public Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturdays. The museum is closed Sundays.
